Ritual Candles

Mithras candles are hand-poured, hand-dripped and finished with care in our candle lair in East Falls, Philadelphia. From our locally-sourced beeswax down to the 100% cotton, square-braid wicks - we use only the highest-quality materials to make each candle a joy to burn.

4" Seshet Pyramids: Seshet, under various spellings, is the Egyptian goddess of the written word. Her name literally means "female scribe". We thought this would be a beautiful name for our new line of 4-sided beeswax pyramids. 

8.5" Halcyon Pillar: The Halcyon series represents our platonic ideal of a candle with regard to both form and function. They're wide with a robust wick and cast a golden light. The Halcyon III is one our most beautiful candles and has enough bee-produced energy to last an entire season with a burn time over 200 hours.

10" Tapers: These candles come in pairs and are cast in a colonial tin mold with a square-braid cotton wick. The bottoms have some give to allow you to mold them with your thumbs/fingers to a standard taper holder or candelabra. The gold colors are made from the natural golden color of beeswax. The black color is dyed black using a vegetable-based dye that is safe to burn.
