A Legacy of Love

When two people love each other very much and the stars align, a love child is conceived. That’s how the story goes, right? It’s pretty much how this company was conceived too. In truth, Michelle and Searaya didn’t set out to make a cacao company. The cacao medicine keepers asked them. The Maya asked them. The spirit of the cacao asked them. And they said yes. 

When Michelle first held a cup of this sacred alchemy of cacao in her hands nearly a decade ago, she immediately felt the integrity of this medicine. She had a vision of the women’s hands who had made it. She heard their voices singing. She felt their hearts of service weaving loving prayers into every batch. Tears spilled down her face. This was it. Michelle had just crossed paths with a vital piece of her soul’s calling. Cacao would become a physical conduit for the energetic medicine she had cultivating and sharing for decades through her intuitive consulting work. It would be a gentle, loving and amplifying reminder of our deeper Truths. 

Fast forward one year to Michelle and Searaya’s divinely orchestrated meet-cute on a tiny volcanic island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Michelle heard the guidance to share a portion of her reserve batch of cacao, made specifically for her, with this photographer she had just met. Unknowingly at the time, this batch had been infused by the medicine keepers with the prayer to call in Michelle’s one-true-love. And just like that, the deal was sealed over a cup of Legacy Cacao, camping in a remote sacred valley under a canopy of stars. Their happily ever after had begun… and with it, a legacy of love to create and share with the world. 

So they began building, inspiration by inspiration. Every decision passed from the head to the heart. Fully trusting the process (even when it didn’t make sense from a financial or business strategy). Surrendering to deeper guidance and heart wisdom as a daily practice. They traveled the world spreading seeds of love, educating the Western World about this plant medicine, inviting people to slow down and listen through their hearts. Over the years, the seeds began to sprout (especially with the massive load of compost from 2020-times). Humanity is rich with readiness to remember. And so this company now continues to grow and evolve, serving as a living invitation of high consciousness business, a bridge from old world to new world, a ceremony guiding us from fear to love. 

And now Michelle and Searaya's mornings begin holding hands and dancing with their three tiny humans with the oldest, brightest souls you've ever seen, gathered around the blender cheering CACAO CACAO CACAO (followed by BUBBBLESSSS!).
